Evaluation: Question 7

Evaluation Question 6

evaluation question 5: How did you attract/address your audience?

evaluation q4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Audience Member Profile

This is Mark, an example of a typical audience member for my magazine. He is an eighteen year-old student, and usually dresses fairly casually. He enjoys various things, like:

·         Chatting with friends.

·          Playing popular video games.

·         Using the internet, generally using social media sites and watching videos on sites such as YouTube.

·         Listening to music, using an mp3 player, the internet, and radio.

All in all, He is a typical teenager. He primarily listens to mainstream music, but has some interest in other, more niche-oriented music as well. He often buys products that relate to his hobbies, such as magazines. As such, he has a subscription with one or two of their favourite magazines. He generally buys his music digitally, although he will likely buy a physical copy of a favourite band’s album instead. His other spending habits are typical for his demographic and gender.

--------------------------------------

My audience falls mainly within the 17-23 age bracket, although some readers may of course be either older or younger. My magazine tries to include a variety of represented music genres, so as to interest a wide array of people, although the focus is mostly on fairly mainstream music overall. My target audience, demographically speaking, is mainly E/D group. However, similar to the audience’s age bracket, there may well be audience members belonging to a higher demographic.
